LTN - Lower Traffic Neighbourhood

Many of you are aware that this area is a Low Traffic Neighbourhood (LTN area) and as such, especially for those who travel by car, would be aware of the planters in the area to filter certain traffic to create a safer area by reducing traffic and pollution in the area.

We are aware that not all LTNs have been best placed as it has caused issues, which have increased journey times, sitting through additional traffic which has led to frustration for those parents who drive to school. Please can we request those parents who do travel in by car, that you please adhere to the law and avoid driving through any LTNs placed in the area if you have been doing so, as it has been reported that some individuals have not been adhering to the LTN rules. Driving through a planter will incur a fine (PCN) payable to the local council.

If you are not happy with the LTN, we suggest you write to the council and raise any concerns you may have. Please respect the LTNs as they stand and avoid driving through them.
